Great uses for muslin squares

As a new parent there’s so much for you to learn, you have this tiny bundle of joy to look after and each new day brings about amazing new experiences. One thing I learnt early on as a parent was muslin squares were brilliant products. A friend of mine recommended Muslin Squares, she said she couldn’t survive a day without a good supply of clean, fresh muslin squares and once we bought a few squares we instantly knew what she meant.

Pillow-soft muslin squares are must-have items for new parents, they’re durable, hard wearing and perfect for many different types of uses and just as practical as travel cots. We relied heavily on muslin squares when our baby was new born.

Feeding time is less messy with Muslin Squares

One of the most common uses we had for muslin squares was during our daughter’s feeds. If you are a parent you’ll know how messy this can be and we used muslin squares in a variety of ways during feeds. I would place one of the muslin squares over our baby’s chest during feeds and use it as a makeshift bib. It was handy to wipe up spilt milk using muslin squares and when it was time to wind our baby I’d place one of the squares over my shoulder to protect it from dribble and milky sick.

Luckily the muslin squares were made from 100% cotton so they were very easy to clean, which is handy when you go through numerous squares in one day. Like travel cots, muslin squares are extremely useful products and here are some other ways parents might want put them to the test.

Muslin Squares are very comforting

It quickly become apparent that our daughter grew fond of her muslin squares, one in particular she seemed to adore. Our daughter had a lemon coloured square that she used as a kind of comfort cloth but it’s no wonder really when you consider how soft muslin squares are. I’ve heard parents say they use muslin squares as nappy liners and some mums and dads use them as mattress toppers in travel cots as well.

I know one thing. I’m not sure how we would have coped without muslin squares and I’d heartily recommend them to any new parents that want the very best for their newborn infants.

The Muslin Squares we‘re reviewing in this article were bought from Sisika.co.uk. We’ll be reviewing some travel cots from there as well in our next article.
