Bespoke Joinery Grows in Popularity

At one stage, demand for bespoke joinery services was on the wane. Fully, trained professional carpenters were having difficulty finding work. Those that did were largely stuck working in factories, using only a fraction of their skills.

Fortunately, that situation is now changing and demand for skilled carpenters is once again growing. There are several reasons for this.

Why Demand for Bespoke Joinery Is Growing

Members of the public are turning away from some of their old buying habits. Instead of buying cheap furniture, which only lasts for a few years they are turning to buying quality pieces instead. They realise that in the end this is a far more economical and practical way of buying furniture.

However, that is not where the majority of the new demand is coming from. In an effort to get more out of their homes people are having some of the dead space in their homes converted into living or working space.

This means loft conversions, basement conversions, turning cupboards under the stairs into small offices and turning sheds into play areas or work areas. Many of these tasks involve the building of bespoke furniture, staircases and doorways. All work that can only be carried out by fully trained experienced and skilled carpenters. In other words, bespoke joiners.

Bespoke Joinery Gives You Choice

If you have an awkward space to fit out you are unlikely to find what you need on the High Street. A skilled joiner can build you a wardrobe in an area with a sloping roof, or with a pillar is in the way. In both situations installing a standard, shop bought wardrobe would not be an option. Using a skilled joiner is the only way to turn that otherwise useless space into something useful.

Finding bespoke joinery services is not as difficult as it once was. This is because many highly skilled carpenters and joinery firms are setting themselves up with a website. Along with their contact details, you will often find photos of their previous work and a list of the joinery services they offer.

ST Group offers the full range of bespoke joinery services. They have over 40 years of experience, so no job is beyond their skills.
