Create storage spaces with special retaining wall design

Looking for specialist retaining wall design? Retaining wall blocks have the power to keep mass out or keep it in. Traditionally we think of a retaining wall block as the point of a building that bears the load of external forces such as soil from a slope of where a basement is constructed below ground level. This wall has to be strong enough to support potentially increasing pressure. This structure essentially creates a barrier between two different elevations. However they’re not always built to hold material out. You can also create strong storage facilities by employing specialist retaining wall design.

Poundfield Products Ltd supply concrete structures for a variety of uses including storage for the agricultural industry. Our L-block units are prestressed, freestanding walls that provide ideal support for storing soil, aggregates, silage, grain or other organic material. Prestressing refers to the process of producing concrete that has been treated to overcome its natural weaknesses. It is especially useful for creating larger sections of concrete that would be most susceptible to strain or damage from tension. Thus it is ideal for retaining wall blocks.

The sections of the L-block unit have tongue and groove joints to ensure they can be put together easily, with correct alignment and will provide a strong, long lasting structure. We also supply smaller prestressed concrete panels that may be used to build smaller sections of wall e.g. to complete a barn or other storage area that uses an L-block at the back. Pre-cast AlfaBloc concrete sections are also available. These can provide barriers between deposits of organic matter or be worked into a larger structure.

All our concrete products are of the highest grade. Poundfield Products Ltd was first established in response to a lack of quality retaining wall design specialists. Since 1999 we’ve aimed to be at the forefront of production and service amongst manufacturers of retaining wall blocks.
