It really does not matter what effect you are after you can achieve it by using marble tiles. As well as looking great, these tiles are extremely hardwearing. They will literally last a lifetime. In fact, they will last several lifetimes.

There is a lot of marble tiling around. You can even get a fairly good selection from the High Street. Most big DIY stores sell the more common types of marble in tile form.
