The Differences Between the Nissan Juke and Nissan Qashqai

Have you been looking at the new Nissan Juke and wondering how exactly it is different to the Nissan Qashqai, another model recently released?

One of the similarities between these two trendy urban cars is that they are both considered “crossovers”. A crossover is a vehicle which takes features from two different types of vehicles and combines them in its own unique way. Both the Nissan Juke and the Qashqai are a mixture between a compact sports car and an SUV, meaning that they are sleek and stylish and yet also rough, rugged and practical.

Qashqai Paved the Way

The Nissan Qashqai was the first to come out, around three years ago. It created quite a stir as a new alternative to the conventional hatchback with its “crossover” features. Later when the Nissan Juke arrived it was received with excitement because the Qashqai had already paved the way to its success. The Qashqai was used as a model for the Nissan Juke, but many things have been changed this time around and the car has its own distinct personality.

Differences Between the Two

The main difference between the Nissan Juke and the Qashqai is that the Juke is a much smaller vehicle. It is often described as the “little brother” of the Qashqai as a result. It is only a little larger than a Ford Fiesta and has a broad and boxy shape which makes it look a bit like a pit-bull.

The Juke is also a bit lower than the Qashqai, although it is still quite high for cars of its size. This height can give drivers an advantage when it comes to visibility in busy traffic.

The Juke is a slightly more budget model than it’s bigger counterpart, as so the ride isn’t quite as comfortable as the Qashqai. However, the wide stance of the wheels helps this car to handle the winding roads of the UK.

There are many other differences between the Nissan Juke and its sibling the Nissan Qashqai, so why not give them both a test drive so that you can compare for yourself?

Although the Nissan Juke was inspired by the previous model, the Nissan Qashqai, the Juke has several differences and has a style of its very own.
